About the company

BolivianBeef is built around one bet: that proof is worth money to a rancher.

We are a small, founder-led company building a mobile platform for Bolivia's small ranching families and the commercial relationships that let a documented ranch earn more than an undocumented one.

Real pasture, real herds: what we're building for

Who's building this

Two founders, one mission for Bolivia's ranching families.

BolivianBeef is led by a small, hands-on founding team combining direct relationships with ranching families on the ground and the product and technology experience to build for them.

Gustavo Sanchez

Gustavo Sanchez

Co-Founder

Gustavo studied Biología at Universidad Autónoma Gabriel René Moreno in Santa Cruz. With over 8 years of experience working in agriculture and non-profit sectors, he leads BolivianBeef's on-the-ground operations. He builds the critical relationships with local ranching families and coordinates the field programs required to make the Vaquero ecosystem a reality in Bolivia.

Luke Howell

Luke Howell

Co-Founder

Luke studied Computer Science at Utah Tech University. He is the creator of Spotlight (a vision-based athlete identifier) and has previously developed AI infrastructure for the health supplement industry. Deeply connected to Bolivia through his mother, who is from La Paz, Luke also served a religious mission in Santa Cruz. He leads product, technology, and investor relations for BolivianBeef.

Where we are today

Early, deliberate and close to the ground.

We are pre-revenue and pilot-first. Rather than build a large platform and hope ranchers adopt it, we are starting with a first cohort of ranching families and shaping the product alongside them, in the field, before we scale anything.

01

Built with ranchers, not at them

Learning content and field tools are developed with local agronomists and tested with the families who will use them. If a feature costs a rancher time without paying it back, it does not ship.

02

Spanish-first, phone-first

Designed for the device and the connectivity people actually have, not for an office. Everything has to work on a mid-range phone, in Spanish, at the edge of coverage.

03

Commercial from the start

A record is only valuable if somebody pays more for it. Buyer and lender relationships are being built in parallel with the product, not bolted on afterwards.

The end goal

A trusted network of ranches with the record to prove it.

A Bolivia where small ranching families have the same access to sustainable know-how and market trust as large operations, so that better land stewardship turns into better prices, better financing and long-term stability for the people doing the work.

  • 1

    Pilot and prove the model

Onboard a first cohort of ranching families in one region, refine the learning content and the field journal with them, and establish what a credible ranch record actually needs to contain.

  • 2

    Grow the network

Expand across Bolivia's key ranching regions and connect participating ranches to buyers and lenders who will pay for, or lend against, a documented track record.

  • 3

    Open export-grade markets

Work toward recognised sustainability certification, positioning Bolivian beef as a responsibly raised and genuinely verifiable choice in regional and export markets.

The raise

What we're raising for.

Seed capital goes into the three things that have to exist before any of this compounds: the pilot cohort, the product they use, and the first commercial relationships that make the record pay.

The pilot cohort

Getting a first group of ranching families onboarded, trained and supported closely enough that we learn what really changes on the ground.

The product

Learning content built with agronomists, and the field-journal and traceability tooling that turns daily ranch work into a record worth trusting.

The demand side

The buyer, lender and certification relationships that convert a documented ranch into a higher price: the half of the problem that software alone does not solve.
